Green tourism Wallonia isn't just a region dotted with places of historic interest and museums. It's also a land blessed with an amazing variety of magnificent natural treasures!

People of all ages will be enchanted by Wallonia's scenery and its nature reserves, lakes, rivers… You can go down the Lesse in a kayak, take a bike ride in bucolic settings or simply stroll in the woods… Take the time to discover our beautiful region's rich and varied landscapes. When you visit our parks and gardens, you may chance upon some remarkable architectural features in manicured estates with attractive paths leading to ornamental lakes, sculptures and statues!

Hikers can follow marked paths which thread their way through our forests and over hill and dale. A special circuit (commonly known as the RAVEL) has been created to offer nature-lovers carefree car-free routes past sites of exceptional natural and cultural value. In short, you can choose from many different itineraries, alone or with your family, by bike, on roller skates or simply on foot!
And to get a somewhat different perspective of our superb Walloon countryside, why not try a more relaxing form of transport like a hot-air balloon, a horse and cart or a boat!

Our region has no lofty mountain peaks as in France, but it has some lovely hills with superb caves you can visit in the Fagnes and the Ardennes. Mountaineers and potholers will find some great picturesque spots where they can enjoy these challenging sports.
And there's lots to do for hunters and anglers and countless places where trout, pike, deer and pheasants abound!
